Booking, prices and planning your Miami cruise

The questions that arrive once you start comparing cruises: who we are, how the booking actually works, why three cards carry a firm price and four do not, what the cancellation window really is, when to come, and whether a cruise is worth it over the free bayfront. Which cruise type suits which evening and how the boarding works are answered on the homepage and at length in the guides.

Who we are, and how booking works

Who runs this site, and are you a cruise operator?

No. This is an independent comparison guide, not a cruise operator or a booking platform. We do not run any of these cruises, own a boat or hold a seat. We compare the real, currently bookable Miami dinner, sunset and skyline cruises by price, rating, duration and what is included, then send you to the operator's own listing to book. Where a cruise is described, those are the listing's published details, not an evening we spent on it.

Is the site free to use?

Yes, entirely, and there is nothing to sign up for. We are paid only when you book a cruise after clicking through, at which point the booking platform passes back a share of the commission it already earns from the operator. Your price is exactly the same as it would be arriving at that listing directly, because that share comes out of the platform's margin rather than being added to your ticket. The disclosure page sets out the full arrangement, and the comparisons work just as well as research whether or not you ever book through us.

How does booking through this site work?

This site compares cruises and takes no bookings of its own. Every card and every button opens the operator's own listing on the platform that sells it, and the whole transaction happens there: you pick the date, you pay, and the platform issues the voucher with the boarding instructions on it. Nothing is held, charged or confirmed here. That also means the listing, not this page, is the authority on price, availability and terms at the moment you book.

Prices, ratings and cancellation

Why do only some cruises here show a price?

Because three of the seven listings publish a firm starting price and the other four do not. The three with a firm price are the Miami Skyline Cruise at $25 per person, the 2 Hour Night Cruise with Open Bar at $45 per person, and the Miami Sunset and City Lights Cocktail Cruise with Open Bar at $69 per person, checked September 2026. The other four show their price only on the live listing. That happens when a platform serves its price inside a live booking session, sets it per couple rather than per person, or localises it by country. Rather than print a number that might not hold, those four cards say the price is on the listing and the button takes you straight to it.

Are the prices shown here the live prices?

The three firm figures are from-prices taken from each live listing, which makes them a reliable floor rather than a quote. Prices display in US dollars. What you actually pay moves with the date, the option you select, the size of your group and any add-ons. Treat the number here as the comparison figure and the listing as the authority. Spot something wrong? Let us know via the contact page.

How are the ratings and review counts sourced?

They are the booking platforms' own published figures, copied exactly and confirmed on a second independent read. Among the five listings with a published rating, the figures run from 4.0 to 4.6. A rating is never averaged across two platforms to make a rounder number, and the two listings that have not published a rating yet come with no number at all rather than a borrowed one. No testimonial appears here unless a real traveller published it on a real listing.

Can I cancel if my plans change?

The listings here generally state free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund, in the platform's own wording, which is why holding a date early usually costs you nothing but a click. The booking page is the authority on the exact window for the option you pick, so read it before you commit, and inside those 24 hours the listing's own terms take over. That window matters more here than it sounds, because a departure can also be moved or cancelled by the operator for weather during hurricane season, and the listing's terms cover that too.

Planning your evening

When is the best time to take a Miami dinner or sunset cruise?

Public cruises run year-round, weather permitting. Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30, and boats generally keep sailing through it, but a specific departure can be cancelled or rerouted for a tropical storm or high wind, so operators watch the forecast and reschedule where they can. Verified average sunset times and water-condition data for Biscayne Bay were not found in research, so no "best month" claim is made here: check the departure time on the live listing and plan around that.

Do I really need a cruise, or can I just walk the bayfront?

You can absolutely walk it. Bayfront Park and the Bayside Marketplace promenade in Downtown Miami are free, waterfront, and look out at much of the same skyline. What walking will not give you is the water itself: the narrated run past Star Island, the Venetian Islands and Fisher Island, known collectively as Millionaire's Row, the Port of Miami and Brickell Key from open water rather than the shore, or, on the open-bar and dinner cruises, food and drink built into one ticket. If your evening is about the free view and a stroll, walking the bayfront is a genuine option, and the guides weigh it honestly.

Where does the cruise board?

It depends on the cruise you book. Most public sunset, dinner and skyline cruises board at Bayside Marketplace and Miamarina, 401 Biscayne Blvd in Downtown Miami, with check-in typically near Pier 5. The private yacht charter's exact marina is confirmed on your booking voucher, since private charters in Miami depart from several marinas around the bay. Your voucher names your exact boarding point and time for the date you booked, so check it rather than assuming, and arrive a few minutes early.

Who do I contact about a booking I have already made?

The confirmation email, every time. It carries your reference, the boarding instructions and a message channel that reaches the operator and the platform that took your money. We cannot see your booking, change a date, add a passenger or issue a refund, because none of it runs through us. On a same-day question, with a departure a few hours away, that confirmation is the only channel that can actually do something.
